Cranberry Chicken

I made this in the crock pot for dinner tonight. I got the recipe from the Crockin’ Girls cookbook. If you like chicken, like simple recipes with only 4 ingredients and have a crock pot, this just may be the recipe for you. Here it is, in case anyone’s interested.

4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 16 oz bottle of Russian dressing

1 can of whole cranberry sauce

1 packet of onion soup mix

Spray the bottom and sides of the crock pot with nonstick cooking spray. Layer the chicken in the pot. I cut my chicken up into smaller pieces before putting them in to save on cooking time, but that’s not necessary. In a separate bowl, mix together the other three ingredients. Then pour the mixture on top of the chicken. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours. Since my chicken was cut up into smaller pieces, it was done in under 3 hours on high. Serve with rice or egg noodles or couscous. Enjoy! (:

White chocolate raspberry scones

I never did make it to Starbucks to pick up a lemon scone, but I did run by the bakery and pick up some white chocolate raspberry scones on my way home. They are yummy, but not as good as the cranberry ones that are my favorites. Still, here’s a pic of one of them for you to drool over. Nom nom nom…

all this talk about scones

I'm craving scones today. Just in the short amount of time I've spent
meandering around on WP, I've come across multiple references
to scones. One person made scones. Several other people love scones.

All this talk about scones, and I want to try them again.
It's been years since I've had a scone. If I remember correctly,
cranberry orange scones are my favorite.

The only thing I have left to do is decide whether I want
to make them from scratch or use a boxed mix. I do believe
a trip to the grocery store is in order. (:
